I’ve wanted to be a dentist ever since I was a young boy. At a very young age, I fell and broke my tooth. I did everything I could to not tell anyone, but eventually, my mother found out and I was rushed to my dad’s dental office. My father and his assistant took the time to sit beside me and calm my fears. They made me feel at home. The treatment I receive left a lifelong impact. The Crystal River Family Dentistry team provides that same caring experience and makes dentistry fun and easy for everyone like my dad did for me that day so long ago.

Being the fourth generation in my family to work in the healthcare industry, I have a legacy to continue. My great-grandfather, John Harvey Kellogg, MD, invented Kellogg Corn Flakes breakfast cereal. He was a pioneer in health and believed that dentistry was essential to a person’s well-being. He believed that having the ability to properly chew and digest one’s food, consume healthy foods, is basic to life. Now, I am a dentist like my father and grandfather before me.

The patients who come to my team and me are incredible individuals. We love to see them excel in their lives and our practice supports their success by helping them feel better, look better, and smile more often with a big healthy smile.

Our patients entrust us with their health, maintenance and the restoration of their mouths. We do not take that responsibility lightly and do all we can to ensure that their treatment achieves amazing results.

We love what we do. There are few professions wherein an individual is allowed to be such an active participant in changing lives for the better. We will take great care of you!

I have known I wanted to be a dentist since I was in middle school. I was first drawn to the profession because of the artistic touch necessary to restore a smile. I have grown to love the profession because of the amazing people that dentistry allows me to meet. Comforting patients and improving their smiles has made being a dentist an honor.

I grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and attended the University of Detroit Mercy for both my undergraduate studies and dental school. My thrive for knowledge led me to complete a residency at the Ann Arbor Veterans Affair Hospital. This allowed me to serve our veterans and learn more advanced techniques. I have gone on mission trips to the Dominican Republic to provide dental service to those in need.

I enjoy spending time outside and can often be found on a bike or a paddle board. I enjoy baking and spending time with my family.

I find great joy working with patients and making them feel better. I am committed to my patient’s comfort and have a strong desire to help them achieve their oral health goals. I am gratified by many aspects of my work such as dental surgery, the science and art of creating a beautiful smile, and attending to the unique needs of each patient. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

During my time at the University of Detroit Mercy School, I gained exposure to all branches of dentistry through externships, research, mentorship, community service, and participation in dental organizations. To further my knowledge and expertise, I actively pursue continuing education courses in the dynamic field of dentistry. I enjoy volunteering at the annual Men’s Health Event and the HUDA Clinic in Detroit. I have participated in mission trips to Jamaica through the Christian Dental Society.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife and three children. I love DIY projects and always have a creative project in the works. I also enjoy playing soccer, table tennis, swimming, and I am a big fan of our Detroit sports teams!

Dr. Daabous is passionate about helping people smile. Graduating top of his class from Detroit Mercy Dental, he pursued specialist training as an orthodontist in order to provide the best care for his patients. He believes in treating each patient as a unique individual and is grateful to God for the ability to make a positive difference in his patients’ lives. When not in the office, you can bet Dr. Daabous is either practicing his PlayStation skills, enjoying a symphony, or traveling the world!
